I work in English Language Teaching, and through VSO, I will be working in Asosa in Ethiopia for two years from February 2013.

I just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed reading your blog! I’m thinking of applying for VSO next year, and reading your blog has really helped me understand the work VSO volunteers are doing in Ethiopia. I am teaching in Japan at the moment, and it is so very different, especially the punctuality thing!
All the best, Sophie (FYI my blog is postcardsfromfukui.com)
I have just come across your blog and have a favour to ask. Sister Hermina of the Missionaries of Charity at Assosa is the daughter of an old servant of mine in Papua New Guinea. She regularly sends me a Christmas Card but I have previously failed to reply because of my inability to read the return address. (I have now managed to do so and thus located where she is) I wonder whether you could meet her and pass on my regards. I am sure, also, that you will enjoy meeting her and possibly hearing of some of her experiences in Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and now Ethiopia.
How are you? I have just read your blog about Ethiopia. I realy enjoyed that and I learnt so many things. There are very intresting things about Ethiopian culture like food ,market and lots of things.
Thank you for wrote that blog .It is full of information.
God bless you .
